We exist to see life transformation in Christ while developing godly leaders in our community who harvest ministries where they are.

Our Hope

The ocean is a vast expanse as far as the human eyes can see. As great as it is, its limitation begins at the shoreline. The ways of this world are like intense oceanic currents, looking to devour anyone and anything in our community, especially our youth, by making transgressions look tropical. One minute the water is calm and serene, then the next, waves are roaring and raging looking to drown anything in their paths. If life’s a beach, then we’re the sand that stands in the gap. We serve as a boundary between those far from God on dry land and the sea’s alluring yet destructive capabilities. As individual grains of sand, it appears we stand no chance against the pressures of society, but God created us to be a unified front. Together, even the fiercest storms can’t overtake us because of His power and grace that lives inside of each of us.

Our Calling

Why Little Elm?

Dr. Eric Patrick married his best friend, Antoinette, in Dallas, TX on February 2, 2013. They have two beautiful daughters, Elayna and Elyse who enjoy sharing the love of Jesus with everyone they meet. After Eric's mom, Charnell, moved from FL to TX, they now consider themselves a family of 5! In 2020, God called this family to partner with Him to plant a new church, Harvest Ministries. After much prayer and God’s sovereignty, that call was confirmed by RockPointe Church in Flower Mound, TX where the Patricks are faithful members. Eric and Antoinette both serve on staff there where he is an Assistant Pastor and she is the HR Director. They all look forward to carrying on the legacy that has been modeled for them.

The purpose of the prospectus below is to share the vision God laid on their hearts for planting Harvest Ministries in Little Elm, TX, just over 30 miles north of downtown Dallas.

By God’s providence, the Patricks moved to Providence Village, a town adjacent to Little Elm, along the US 380 corridor. Their new home is just a few minutes from Braswell High School where Eric is faithfully ministering to the dedicated administrators and teachers there.

Their mission is to reach the unchurched people in the area, as two-thirds of the residents are not engaged in any religious community at all. Most are Millennials and Gen Xers identifying as transplants and/or young families with multi-ethnic backgrounds. Many believe in God but don’t have a personal, life-changing relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The Patrick's desire is to reach each individual by worshiping God through serving the community, creating genuine connections and relationships with their neighbors along the 380 corridor, teaching Bible studies in their home, and encouraging people to share the good news of Jesus Christ. Their hearts long for everyone to harvest a ministry where they are by carrying out their mission statement:

“Loving God and all people while preparing everyone to boldly follow Christ.”

Our Pastor

Who's leading us?

Eric was born in Louisville, KY, raised in Tampa, FL, found Jesus in Washington, DC, and married the love his life in Dallas, TX. He grew up going to church off and on but once he hit college, he wanted nothing to do with the church like many young adults do. It wasn’t until pharmacy school that he truly found King Jesus!

His classmate always asked him to go to church with her and he always said no. By this time in his life, he felt like he didn’t need a church to know God. But she persisted every year to get him there until finally in their third year of school, he went with her to a Wednesday night service for young professionals. He liked it so much that after missing a flight that Friday, he went back to that church on Sunday, and accepted Christ in his heart while sitting in the overflow on October 11th, 2009, at 24 years old.

Dr. Eric L. Patrick

The Spirit moved that day and his transformation was realized with baptism not long after. Ever since then, he's been on a long sanctification journey (that's had its ups and downs) as he strives to be more like Jesus every day.

Eric and his family's vision is to honor God in all that they do by saturating their lives and those around them with the promises in His Word through authenticity, the peace of God, stewardship, and having fun while doing it.

Eric holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of South Florida, a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Howard University, and is now pursuing a Master of Arts in Apologetics and Evangelism at Dallas Theological Seminary.

Eric began serving on staff as Assistant Pastor at RockPointe Church in early 2021 where he was ordained and now being sent out for the work of church planting just two years later. He is excited to serve the Little Elm community by connecting each individual to the Lord through pick-up basketball in the local neighborhood, casual conversations by the pool, ministering to school administrators and students, serving with community partners, and teaching Bible studies in his living room.

If Eric could choose a legacy, it would be to be known as the guy who unconditionally and boldly loved his wife and kids while being obedient to the Lord in all he did.
